Here Is The Reason Why Ruto Could Replace Raila Odinga As Mt Kenya’s Bogeyman In 2027

Monday, August 19,2024-A senior lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has predicted that President William Ruto risks inheriting Mr. Bogeyman's role from former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, whose previous attempts to scale Mt Kenya region have failed because of his scarecrow tactics.

In an interview with one of the major dailies on Sunday senior political lecturer Charles Mwangi said since Raila Odinga is heading to the African Union as chairperson, Ruto will inherit Raila Odinga who has been a scarecrow when it comes to Mt Kenya complex politics.

The don said Ruto fell into bad books with Mt Kenya residents the moment he agreed to form a Nusu Mkate government (broad-based government) with veteran opposition leader, Raila Odinga.

“If you listen to grassroots voice now in Mt Kenya region, most anger has now been transferred from Mr. Odinga to President William Ruto owing to governance issues that have induced public dissatisfaction as manifested in the recent Gen Zs protests that were embraced even by area people not known to express themselves through confrontations,” Mwangi said.

Mwangi's comments come even as Jubilee Party Secretary General, Jeremiah Kioni opined that “ in 2027 Mt Kenya will be united against the political lies, deceit  and governance tragedy  that is in this government “
