The leaders led by Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua and his
Makueni County counterpart, Daan Maanzo said Kalonzo has supported Raila
Odinga's presidential bid three times and now it is now his turn to return the
favour in 2027.
Wambua said Raila should endorse Kalonzo's presidential bid
in earnest to prepare well for the 2027 duel with President William Ruto.
Maanzo on his part said he feels that Musyoka is the only
person between the four bigwigs who can floor President William Ruto in the
2027 general elections.
"We have stood three times with Raila Odinga and it is time
now he should stand with us so that opposition remains united", Maanzo
said.
Their remarks however have been refuted by Orange Democratic
Movement(ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna who labelled the move as premature.
Sifuna said it's five months since the previous election and
therefore it is too early to start talking about the 2027 General Election.
