Sunday, December 18, 2022-Kakamega County Deputy Governor, Ayub Savula has urged Azimio One Kenya Alliance party leader Raila Odinga not to try to challenge President William Ruto during the 2027 Presidential election.
In an interview
with one of the local dailies on Saturday, Savula said Raila Odinga has run out
of gas and he will be defeated badly if he tries to challenge Ruto.
Savula also
urged Democratic Action Party (DAP) leader, Eugene Wamalwa not to vie for
presidency in 2027 because Ruto ‘will eat him for supper’ during the election.
“I am in Azimio
La Umoja Alliance but will work with President Ruto. Because of his age, Raila
will be weak politically. more than three-quarters of voters in the next
election are not in touch with his reform credentials. Raila has been overtaken
by events,” Savula said.
Raila, 78 is yet to announce his presidential bid in 2027 but his close aides say he may challenge Ruto for the last time.
