In August, Ruto won the Presidential election and the
vote-rich region voted for him overwhelmingly.
To reward the region, Ruto appointed Rigathi Gachagua as his
Deputy and many Kenyans are saying that the Head of State will not be
re-elected in 2027 due to his deputy’s sentiments which have been termed as
tribal.
However, according to political analyst, Stephen Mutoro,
Gachagua is the Mt Kenya region kingpin and will deliver 80 percent of Mt Kenya
region votes to Ruto’s basket in 2027.
“Ndugu Dktr: The opposite could be true. Riggy G is
consolidating the mountain and the 'men' are recording huge success. Fact: WSR
only needs 80% of Mt Kenya to win 2027 and beyond. I pity anyone - who will
want to contest against @WilliamsRuto in 2027. He will win the re-run big
time!"Mutoro said when responding to Thirdway Alliance party leader, Dr.
Ekuru Aukot who had earlier said Gachagua will cost Ruto re-election in 2027.
