Karua was
accompanied by Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Hon. Peter Munya, Public Service,
Gender Cabinet Secretary Margaret Kobia, and other political leaders affiliated
with Azimio la Umoja.
During a
stopover in Kangeta Market, Karua and her team were welcomed by youths who were
chanting UDA UDA and singing songs in praise of Deputy President William Ruto.
Their attempts
to pacify the mob were nearly ineffective since chants continued and they were
forced to leave the town in a hurry.
This is a big
blow to Azimio La Umoja since this is the second-day Karua has been heckled in
the Mt Kenya region despite being former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s running
mate in August.
On Tuesday,
Karua was heckled in Kirinyaga County when she went there to popularize Azimio
La Umoja Movement.
