Raila Odinga is planning countrywide protests accusing
President William Ruto of trying to introduce dictatorship in the country.
In an interview with KTN on Tuesday night, Kindiki said the
National Security Council has been informed about Raila Odinga’s demonstrations
and that his ministry will beef up security in Nairobi to protect businesses.
Kindiki said he has instructed police officers to be
merciless on criminals who are planning to loot businesses during
demonstrations.
"Raila is our friend and a respected Citizen in this
Nation. That is why as a Government, we have beefed up his security as well as
that of his close allies... I don't know whether those planning to cause chaos
have an idea of how we dealt with crime in the city," the soft-speaking CS
stated.
