The Senator was caught up in an embarrassing incident with
his baby daddy Samidoh in Dubai prompting the party to react.
In the letter, President William Ruto’s party asked the
Senator to explain the reason why she should not be stripped of her nomination
seat.
"We are deeply disappointed and embarrassed by the
conduct of the senator who appeared intoxicated and disorderly in what appeared
to be a night club," read the part of the letter.
Nyamu after the scandal and knowing the possible outcomes of
her action apologised, blaming alcohol and vowed to part ways with Samidoh.
Other UDA leaders came out to defend her saying she was just in love.
"We recommend immediate expulsion of Senator Karen
Nyamu from the party and subsequent expulsion from the senate pursuant to
Article 103(1) of the constitution of Kenya," the letter added.
It is not clear whether, Ruto, who is the party leader, will ratify the removal of Karen Nyamu as nominated Senator.
