Here Is The Reason Ruto Gave Moses Kuria Trade And Investment Cabinet Secretary

Monday, October 31, 2022-Kimilili Member of Parliament, Didmus Barasa has laid bare the reason why President William Ruto appointed a former Gatundu South lawmaker as the Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary.

In an interview with TV47 Kenya on Monday, Barasa said that Moses Kuria's appointment as the Trade CS was made possible by Kuria's familiarity with the economic policies of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government.

"The reason why Moses Kuria was nominated as the CS Trade is that he understands the economic policies of Kenya Kwanza,” Barasa said.

Kuria is already in South Africa where he is meeting his South African counterpart Patel Ebrahim.

According to Kuria, Ruto told him to look at the issues surrounding the free flow of Foreign Portfolio Investments into Kenya.

"I am under strict instructions from my boss @WilliamsRuto to look at the issues surrounding the free flow of Foreign Portfolio Investments into Kenya. I will outline the measures that the government of Kenya is taking in the next 48 hours,” Kuria said on his social media page.
