In an interview with one of the local media stations on
Monday, Ngunjiri also said Ruto will deliver his promises to Kenyans if all
stakeholders joined forces to help him.
“Mkikubali tumshike mkono pamoja tusaidiane, atavunja recodi
ya Kibaki (If you agree to hold his hand and help him, he will break Kibaki's
record),” Ngunjiri said.
The father of the nation, according to Ngunjiri, is a devout
Christian who respects the Kenyan Constitution and exuded confidence that armed
with these two fundamental tools, the head of state will transform the nation.
"President Ruto ni mtu anaogopa Mungu na anapea Katiba
ya nchi yetu heshima (President Ruto is a man who fears God and respects our
Constitution)," the former lawmaker said.
He also noted that Kibaki's projects are similar to those of
Ruto and that Kibaki would have accomplished more had he been younger and
healthier.
He concluded by saying that because Ruto is youthful and
active, he would be able to achieve great things for the country.
