Monday, October 31, 2022-An outspoken United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Member of Parliament has spoken over allegations that President William Ruto has captured Judiciary.
Speaking on Monday, Kimilili MP, Didmus Barasa said Ruto is
an honest man and he hasn’t captured the Judiciary.
Last month, Azimio party leader, Raila Odinga, who is still
in shock after a humiliating defeat during the August 9th election said Ruto
has captured Judiciary after corruption cases facing his allies were dropped.
But in his defense, Barasa said Ruto had nothing to do with
the withdrawal of the cases and termed Raila's claims as Just hot air.
The lawmaker further affirmed that the Judiciary is still an
independent institution as stipulated in the constitution and that will not
change under Ruto's government.
