Kinoti alias Timo was
arrested together with Kawira’s brother Murangiri Kenneth were arrested with
three others and are currently being held at DCI headquarters in Nairobi.
The DCI sought orders to detain suspects in the murder of blogger Sniper.
In documents submitted to the magistrate court
in Kiambu, the investigating officer sought more time to detain the five
suspects.
"The investigations team is seeking
vital information... more other suspects who were involved in the murder are
yet to be arrested.”
According to the investigators, the deceased
was lured by the five suspects through a phone call alleging that a senior
county official wanted to meet him.
A prime suspect is already in court over the
murder and police are looking for more.
Sniper disappeared on December 2 before his
body was discovered on December 16, 2023.
