Friday, May 20, 2022-Narc Kenya party leader, Martha Karua is having a difficult time ‘climbing Mt Kenya’ going by the reception she received in Embu County on Thursday.
Karua who was on her to Meru County for a series of the meeting
was heckled by youths who were chanting the name of Deputy President William
Ruto and waving United Democratic Alliance slogans.
Martha Karua and the team were forced to stop addressing the
public after the crowd started shouting Ruto's name.
The Azimio rally was brought to a standstill after Embu
residents expressed their willingness to support Ruto's presidential bid.
Karua was forced to lecture residents who were heckling
telling them to avoid being used by politicians to cause chaos and disturbance.
“No matter where you stand, we can disagree without insults
and heckling. Because after August 9th, we will have to still live with one
another,” Karua said.
