Wednesday, November 2, 2022-Renowned political scientist, Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi, has reacted after President William Ruto nominated 51 individuals as Principal Secretaries.
The Head of State unveiled his 51-member list which was full
of his close confidantes and a few technocrats.
The list was also full of members of the Kalenjin community.
Reacting to the nomination, Prof Mutahi said Kalenjins
should be left alone because the President was merely rewarding loyalty instead
of competence following a commotion from tweeps.
He also mocked Kenyans by saying there will be no corruption
after Ruto named the majority of his tribesmen as Principal Secretaries.
“Leave Kalenjins
ALONE. This is now THEIR Government. And in the AFFAIRS of government, LOYALTY
is superior to COMPETENCE. Like it or NOT, Ruto has REWARDED loyalty. And this
is ADMIRABLE in a leader. My BEST wishes to the Principal Secretaries. NOTE:
There will be NO corruption,” the professor wrote on his Twitter page.
