In a social media post on Thursday, controversial lawyer,
Miguna Miguna, alleged that Raila Odinga together with Kisumu County Governor
Prof Anyang Nyong'o grabbed the piece of land and evicted the squatters who had
settled in the said land.
Miguna said the land initially belonged to the Kenya
Railways Company but Raila Odinga who is also the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party leader grabbed it.
He further said Kisumu County Government had earlier
promised to settle the squatters but later abandoned the plan.
“I have received a
credible report that conman @RailaOdinga and @Anyang Nyongo have GRABBED public
land belonging to Kenya Railways that housed 1,000 people in Kisumu. They
promised to relocate the people but have abandoned them,” Miguna who is
also a Canadian-based barrister wrote on his Twitter page.
