Monday, April 3, 2023-Nandi County Senator, Samson Cherargei has urged Azimio One Kenya leaders and supporters to forget the handshake between President William Ruto and opposition leader, Raila Odinga.
In a tweet on Sunday after Ruto said he is ready to engage
in a meaningful manner with Raila Odinga, Cherargei who is the Head of State’s
spanner boy urged Azimio supporters and fanatics to forget about the handshake
between the two leaders.
Ruto in his speech declared that he was ready to dialogue
with the Opposition and made a concession for a bi-partisan approach in the
recruitment of new electoral commission chiefs.
Shortly after Ruto's statement, Cherargei urged Azimio
leaders to forget the handshake and interpreted to them that it is Parliament
that will deal with issues raised by Raila Odinga.
“No handshake/ handcheque No nusu mkate! H.E. Ruto's message
is simple there are many avenues where the opposition/Azimio-OKA can raise
their issues including Parliament but it should be legal & constitutional.
Tinga is seriously hemorrhaging in an unprecedented manner !,” Cherargei wrote
on his Twitter page.
